The purpose of a BSDG (Black Start Diesel Generators) system is to provide an auxiliary power to the startup of a power plant’s main generating units, and restore the power station to operate without relying on auxiliary power from the grid.
Black Start’s load, allocated space, and plant operation, all come into play when deciding on the type and number of BSDGs. We help customers not only to ensure the integration of such BSDGs with their plants (open communication with plant control system, and back synchronization with plant turbines), but also to prepare the BSDG detailed operation philosophy, including plant configuration during Black Start mode.
