Project Background & Objectives

The Industrial Energy Audits project was initiated as a massive, nation-wide efficiency program to optimize resource consumption and reduce operating overhead across Lebanon’s manufacturing sector. Commissioned by DAI, this extensive utility consulting initiative targeted the severe power grid deficits and high fuel costs burdening local production facilities. Within this critical economic and sustainability framework, PDP Energy was selected to command the highly technical evaluation phase. The primary company-specific objectives centered on executing comprehensive energy industrial audits, where the engineering team is actively executing Level 2 energy audits for 33 industries in several regions of Lebanon to uncover critical conservation opportunities.

Project Challenges

Orchestrating intensive Level 2 energy audits simultaneously across 33 distinct manufacturing facilities introduces extraordinary logistical and technical complexities. Each industrial site—ranging from heavy fabrication and chemical processing to food production—features highly unique, specialized machinery networks with disparate thermodynamic and electrical baselines. PDP Energy had to navigate the immense challenge of gathering highly precise, real-time consumption profiles from intricate boiler systems, compressed air loops, and heavy motor drives without causing any production downtime. This demanded meticulous multi-regional site scheduling, deploying an array of sophisticated data-logging equipment, and cross-referencing volatile backup generator fuel logs to safely isolate deep structural and operational energy wastes.

Project Outcomes

Operating as the primary industrial energy consulting partner, PDP Energy is successfully delivering individual, data-driven optimization master plans for each of the facility profiles. The project effectively establishes an unprecedented technical benchmark for large-scale corporate efficiency and carbon mapping across Lebanon. By providing highly detailed thermodynamic models and prioritized energy conservation measures, PDP Energy is clearing the path for 33 major industries to systematically lower their utility overhead, improve machinery runtime reliability, and pivot toward highly sustainable, lean manufacturing frameworks.
